• Dirty Filters - A very common cause of system issues are a dirty filter. Blocked filters can cause your HVAC unit to over work, decreasing efficiency and slow air flow. In cooling mode, blocked filters can cause ice build-up on the interior equipment.
• Drainage - Ever notice water puddling around your furnace or geothermal? Chances are a plugged condensate is likely to blame. Without the ability to drain condensation, water from the condensate will back up and possibly make the unit abruptly stop working. This is a key component of regular equipment maintenance.
• Pilot or Ignition Problems - A dirty flame sensor, pilot, or burner can cause an outage, short cycling conditions, furnace lock out, or delayed ignition.
• Dirty, Fuzzy, Blocked Outdoor Condenser - Grass trimmings, surrounding bushes, cottonwood, and many other environmental elements can cause your outdoor HVAC equipment to essentially suffocate. This will cause the unit to work hard, decrease efficiency, and possibly lead to system ice ups.
